Hi Everyone. I wanted to let you know that I will be posting a bit of (hopefully) insightful information that my firm puts together for us. As some of you might know, Macquarie is highly regarded for some of the global research that we put out. I believe the firm is currently ranked 8th in the world for global stock coverage. I will be posting a weekly market rundown that deals primarily with North American Stats for you to have a look at. Also, if you are in need of research on your favorite stocks, please feel free to PM or email me to see what we might have for review. Hope this info is helpful. Steve

Another choppy week, very typical of the Summer Doldrums. A bit of headway on the BP leak, and RIM got a boost. Have a good week. This week will see a lot of companies reporting Q2 numbers, which will again lead to choppy markets. Steve

Hi Guys, I just wanted to put out a fast note, based on the BoC rate increase yesterday. As you may know, the BankofCanada raised by 25bps, to .75% rate. Prime rates went up at most banks, which now sits around 2.75%. Our Chief strategist at Macquarie thinks the BoC is done for the year with rate increases. Thought I should put that out there in case any of you were making rate decisions. If you need research on this, just PM me. Steve

Here is last weeks "action". Was still a pretty busy week for earnings, economic data a bit weak, which sent the mkts lower. Summer doldrums nearing an end, a few more weeks to go.....

Last week the TSX saw some positive action, mostly due to the Potash Corp bid by BHP Billiton. Here's the rundown....

Here is last weeks' rundown. It looked as though we might see the mkts pullback a bit, then earnings season got off to a decent start with some sound footing. Steve
