Historically, riv.ca has listed each and every KTM from 2008 and newer as inadmissible - browning the site yesterday I discovered that this particular policy position has now changed. ALL KTMs from 2007 are now ADMISSIBLE - this opens up many opportunities for those who want to buy a used KTM from a much larger market:

    Scroll down to KTM: http://www.tc.gc.ca/motorvehiclesafety/ ... ion8_0.htm

Hmm...has me thinking about a 950 Super Enduro again :)

Interesting note about exhaust,,,, don't think my stock exc would be under 80db.

Exhuast system: must have a permanent, legible label, or mark (stamp) stating that it meets the EPA regulation of 80 dB(A)

I wonder how long the notes on the exhaust will be legible? Stamped wouldn't be bad but the pic on advrider looks like it was printed on.
That might last 1 good ride in the woods.

The problem that with a US dollar costing $1.20 + right now, bikes are cheaper in Canada.

I definitely agree, but when I was in the market for a 990 a few years ago, I couldn't find any through the usual avenues in Ontario. There were/are always several for sale on ADV for those willing to fly and ride.

Couple years back I flew to Florida and picked up my 950 Adv and rode it home. This worked so easy that I picked up a 525 in Missouri a little while later. The dollars were right at par both times, not like today.
